Arizona State's Revolution Invitational
November 22, 2009
Phoenix, Arizona
In their 2nd year competing, the UW mockers attended their first official invitational tournament ever, by flying to Tempe, AZ. Having travelled the furthest, the UW received the right to challenge any opponent it wished to face. Out of a sense of masochism, or perhaps reckless bravery, the Washingtonians decided to start off their new season with a bang: against the A team from the University of California-Irvine, a perennial powerhouse, excellent tournament host and a team coached by the case author. After a incredibly informative 0-2 loss, the UW rebounded with 4-1-1 record against UC-Berkeley, Claremont McKenna and UC-San Diego.

As the hungry Washington mockers waited for their flight home, most were chowing down at the Arizona airport Burger King as a team member, Elijah Sanchez, spotted a familiar face from the 2008 election season. Lucky for Elijah (and those who chose to sprint down the airport terminal with him), Mr. Sanchez had his camera on hand.
